Citigroup has reached a deal for the government to increase its stake in the struggling bank-- will other banks do the same?  And, the FDIC may raise fees to cover their rapidly draining insurance fund.  How will all these changes affect you?

Tonight President Obama will tell Americans how he plans to shore up the economy.  Although he may not use the term “nationalization”, is that what he’s really planning for some of the country’s largest banks?  Plus, the city of Houston may give first-time home buyers $3,000 to help them pay off debts or improve their credit scores.

Credit card companies are raising rates to “reflect the current risk environment.”  Should they be allowed to change your rate at any time or should the government step in to stop them?  Plus, American Express is paying cardholders to close their accounts!

Federal officials are in talks with Citigroup to possibly take over 40% of the company's stock.  Will such a drastic move really solve anything?  And though the government won't call it "nationalization", isn't that exactly what they’re proposing?

Some GOP governors say they're not going to take the stimulus money because it will create bigger budget issues down the road.  Should they take the money or stand by their principles?  Plus, South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn says not accepting the money is a "slap in the face to African Americans".
